Beta Goldeneye
Every single Goldeneye owner would give almost anything for a copy of the beta version. However, beta Goldeneyes are nowhere to be found and it is practically impossible to get one. Luckily, a wonderful mechanical invention called the GameShark by Interact(r). The GameShark, a device capable of modifying game code, actually has found many BETA ITEMS IN THE ACTUAL CART! Yes, in the Goldeneye cart millions of people have, beta things are hidden. All secrets have now been revealed...
This page is completely by SubDrag, SubDrag@hotmail.com. I spent a lot of time and effort creating the pics, and actually a bunch of the codes! Please enjoy the site and sent any comments or additions to me, so I may take more pictures and improve this page. ALL PICTURES ARE BY SubDrag!!!
All comments, please post here at my message board for this
page...

UPDATES:
Feb 21, 2001 <--- OMG!!!
From Aug 7.
Ahh, finally, an update. Added: Beta sounds on this page, and beta ammo! The dart and stick of dynamite, explosive pen...whoa! And one new Russian translation, albeit a good one.
Also, check out my movies page at: http://www.datadynehq.com/SMovies/SMovies.htm Some great stuff there.
Aug 7, 2000
Whoa, it's been two months since an update. I apologize, I was busy making pages at the Perfect Dark site, hacking Perfect Dark codes, and a little more. Anyone who has the game knows why! But, Goldeneye is still a gem, a game that is always a treasure to play.
But, this is what I've updated: NEW info on the weapons case in this page...won't you be surprised. And the Bond hand.
May 15, 2000
Sorry for lack of updates. Don't worry, I'll try to update more often. Some great new codes on page 2...can you say MORE MULTIS!!!! Train is excellent. And a few new Russian text translations. Note: If you want to know when I update so you don't have to check back often, send me an email with the subject "Mailing List for Beta Page" with your email in the body. SKleiman@worldnet.att.net
Do not worry! A Perfect Dark page is coming soon...a beta one...at www.datadynehq.com/ .
BETA SOUNDS
Piton Gun -
most likely 81032FAA 00FF
Boat?
Motorcycle? 81032FAA 003E
Boat?
Motorcycle? 81032FAA 0043
MORE MULTIPLAYER CHARACTERS
Although the actual characters have not yet been found in the
cart, their multiplayer images are still there.
Moore:
A002B19B-0001

801E4F7F-00XX
XX = 40-48 (for all Beta Bonds, 4 each)
May or may not work on this computer, if not use 801E507F,
801E517F, or 801E527F.
Extra character? (Bond is a giant hand
in Dam)
8103DFCA-D930
8103DFCE-7088
8103DFD8-0100

This does not look like Bond's
hand, but instead an unfinished character. Remnants of an old
Bond?
WEAPONS
Current Weapons with Parts you cannot see ever
normally:
81053E04-3E80

[This is actually the rocket launcher, just a really large
version. If you look at the bottom, you see Russian writing. I
know you can't see this, no matter how hard you try, without the
large rocket launcher code. Why did they program this in?]

[Also, you can never see the bottom of the taser in the game.
Admit it, you wanted to know what was at the bottom!]
Many hidden items have been discovered...many of their purposes are still unknown. They really just add to our annoyance as to what Goldeneye "could have been".
[NOTE: For all the below, go to Dam and kill the first guard. Then, look in your inventory menu for the new item]
Picked up a new weapon: (in menu whatever digit assigned - in
this case I believe Gold Bar)
801DFE58 004E
801DFEE0 004E
801DFF68 004E
801DFFF0 004E
801E0078 004E
801E0100 004E
801E0188 004E

[If you set a digit to the guard weapon modifier and the digit
doesn't have text for it, it'll say picked up a new weapon. WHy
was this programmed in?]
Plastiques:
[I know they are in silo, but you can't pick them up. So why does
it say "some" plastique?]

Flare Pistol:
811FA522-0023

Dam: Picked Up Flare Pistol
801DFE58 0023
801DFEE0 0023
801DFF68 0023
801DFFF0 0023
801E0078 0023
801E0100 0023
801E0188 0023

[So flare pistol ammo is a flare.]
Piton Gun:
811FA522-0024
[Used after bungee jumping off the Dam, just like in the move Goldeneye]

Dam: Picked Up Piton Gun from some guards in beginning
801DFE58 0024
801DFEE0 0024
801DFF68 0024
801DFFF0 0024
801E0078 0024
801E0100 0024
801E0188 0024

[I wonder why the piton gun can hold more than one
"piton". Are we sure it is still the item that you used
to jump off Dam? Maybe it had a few purposes.]
Bungee:
811FA522-0025
[Unusable, a glitched grenade]
Door Exploder:
811FA522-002A
[Could have been so great!Exploding Doors!]

New info on the weapons case! Using this code makes Dr. Doak give you the weapons case (it still says "Door decoder" but is actually the weapons case. Now, activate the case by selecting it, returning to game, and hitting Z. You'll get three items: 2 throwing knifes, two hand grenades, and a sniper rifle. The game will equip you with the sniper rifle.
811D04A4-00ED
801D0533-002C
(Seasalt)
This was a great idea by Rare. A hidden gun in a package. Now, as to what level, I can't be sure. It could fit in a lot of levels. If you have a clue, email.
Safecracker:
811FA522-002D
[uhh, to open a safe by finding the combo?]

Microcamera:
811FA522-0030
[These babies can be shot like covert modems w/ infinite ammo on.
Clearly, in some level we had to place security cameras like
those in Severnaya. What level though?]

Bug Detector:
811FA522-0031
[Detect listening devices. Where???]

Polarized Glasses:
811FA522-0033

Do they involve position of Bond as
Razor suggests? Try it, tell me what you find.
[It might have been like the credit card in The World is Not Enough, a lock opener]
Gas Keyring:
811FA522-0036 for Dam inventory, or 801D1575-00FC in Archives as
table.
[Not only may it be able to open locks, the gas keyring probably
has another possible function. The Gas Keyring from the movie The
Living Daylights can emit a gas that will knock out a person,
or function as an explosive. I wonder if this would be used in a
manner similar to that? (Jon
Merriman)]

Watch Identifier:
811FA522-0038
[For people, I assume]

Watch Communicator:
811FA522-0039
[With Trevelyan?]

Watch Geiger Counter:
811FA522-003A
[Measure Radioactivity. Used in movie Thunderball]

Watch Magnet Repel:
811FA522-003B
[Opposite of magnet attract]

Audio Tape
811FA522-0047

[Like the video tape, only not in game and an audio tape]
DAT Tape
811FA522-0049

[Not a DAT. A DAT Tape...]
Lectre:
811FA522-004D
[Lectre is a device to track Russian Submarines from the movie From
Russia with Love (JarredMan)]

Money:
811FA522-004E
[Interesting...]

Gold Bar:
811FA522-004E
[Even more interesting...This was a common figure in the movie
GoldFinger. Another instance of a movie item in the game. Maybe
each movie would have a level?]

Heroine:
811FA522-004E
[An extra e. I don't think we have a female hero, here, but the
drug. This is a long shot, but all of these items seem to have
come from an extra level, which has been suggested to be a
Casino.]

New Ammo 1:
811FA522-0056
[More guns could have been in game! If you go to the Bunker and
do the floating mine trick, then fire a rocket the game gives you
this ammo as null. Maybe it was for the Bunker level? It looks
like a rocket.(Don Dignam)]

New Ammo 2:
811FA522-0057
[More guns could have been in game!]

[NOTE: For the below, put on infinite ammo and go to Dam]
Briefcase (Not Ouromov's, it's a bomb)
800D37D3-0021

[It explodes like a mine! Maybe Bond or an enemy such as Ouromov
carried an explosive disguised as a briefcase]
Dart
81032FA2 000E

Ammo, but for what gun?
Explosive Pen
81032FA2 000F

From Boris in Control, possibly. Would'a been nice.
Stick of Dynamite
81032FA2 0013

It has been suggested this was to blow up the Dam, or possibly
Frigate.
ITEMS
I can turn any item's image in Goldeneye into another item's image...you know what that means...hidden stuff will be there too from the beta!
Double Bell Alarm (First alarm in Bunker 1):
801CEEF1-0000

Pyramid: (Runway - first mini gas tanks)
801DAEA1-0002

Desk Mat: (I don't think it is in game...if it is, let me know
where)
801DAEA1-0019
