How are the scores calculated?

The main rankings are calculated with a point system. Points are awarded to players for their performance on each difficulty level of every stage. The points you'll get for a stage are based on your time ranking, through this simple algorithm:

1st - 100 points
2nd - 97 points
3rd - 95 points
4th - 94 points
5th - 93 points
6th - 92 points
.
.
.
98th (and under) - 0 points

Tied times, of course, receive the same number of points. To see how many points your time in a particular stage/difficulty is worth, just check out the time rankings for that stage (linked to from the Stage Records table).

Note that if you haven't completed a stage (your time is N/A), you are assigned a default time of 20 minutes.

If more players join the Elite, I may decide to increase the points available for each stage...
